I installed this fuel sending unit adapter on my SeaArk to bring my existing analog fuel sender into my NMEA 2000 network and display the fuel level on my Garmin units. I couldn’t be happier with the result.
My boat already had a standard 240–33 ohm fuel sender and analog gauge, and I really didn’t want to replace a perfectly good sender just to get fuel information onto my Garmin. This adapter was the perfect solution.
There was a little bit of a learning curve getting the configuration exactly right for my setup, but the amount of adjustment available is actually one of the things I like most about it. Once I entered the correct sender resistance, tank capacity, and other settings, it worked exactly as it should. My Garmin immediately recognized the tank information, and I was able to calibrate it after filling the tank.
I now have my fuel level available right on my Garmin displays along with the rest of my engine and navigation information. It cleaned up the system, gave me the information where I actually want to see it, and saved me from replacing the existing fuel sender.
The unit itself is small, well made, and integrated into my NMEA 2000 network without any problems. The indicator lights also made it easy to confirm that everything was communicating properly.
If you have an older boat with an analog fuel sender and want to bring that information into a modern NMEA 2000/Garmin system, I highly recommend this unit. It does exactly what I hoped it would do, and I would absolutely buy it again.

Easy to install... just as advertised. Immediately got data on my Raymarine Instruments as well as my NMEA network via the NMEA 2k Wifi gateway. Nice to see more detailed information on the engine than what is provided in the simple Yanmar panel, and I'm looking forward to automating engine hour logging with SignalK & NodeRed via the CerboGX.
Saved me a ton of time trying to get back to my rudder shaft to swap out my old resistive sensor for a newer NMEA-2000 one. Absolutely worth it and easy to set up.
Mounted the interface plug on the engine and ran a twisted shielded pair of wires to the bridge for both 3196 caterpillar engines. Grounded the shields at the bridge and isolated the shields at the engines. Plugged the yacht devices to the NMEA2000 backbone that the Simrad chart plotters are on. Most of the general engine information was available and showed up as data. It took a little effort to identify the port and starboard. Other than that it was pretty straight forward. There is some info I would like to get that is available at the Cat gauges. I will probably have to write an app to do that. I have what I need to backup the information I need for my engines. I have had issues in the past with the Cat electronic gauges. They are no longer in production and hard to find.

I am very happy with my purchase. Phone support for answering questions about the installation was excellent. My only suggestion would be to offer custom lengths of the adapter cable. I created my own 15’ adapter cable in order to route the cable out of the engine room to a more appropriate (cooler and drier) location to mount the device.
Easy to setup and use. The inclusion of a ground lead, warnings, and clear instructions simplified getting the connection to a 3 wire 0183 device right the first time.
The free shipping was far too long so my suggestion is just to pay for when you need it
